Privacy Policy
Last updated:
The Trusted Prop is operated by S and A Marketing FZ-LLC in Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates. This policy explains how we handle personal information when you use thetrustedprop.com and the related The Trusted Prop app, contact us, or take part in our research and community features.
1. Information we handle
- Accounts and profiles: name, email, username, sign-in identifiers, profile images, preferences, and information you choose to add. Our authentication provider handles your sign-in credentials.
- Community and support: reviews, posts, comments, messages, uploads, giveaway entries, reports, and correspondence with us.
- Research and claims: followed firms, saved items, referral attribution, and purchase claims or receipts you submit. Buying a challenge happens with the third-party merchant; we do not collect payment for it.
- Technical information: IP address, browser and device information, security and error logs, and notification tokens when you enable notifications. With your optional website choices, we also collect usage, interaction, and referral measurements.
- AI and translation requests: questions, selected firm information, or text you submit to those features.
We receive information from you, your use of the service, authentication and service providers, and public or partner sources relevant to firm research. Please redact unnecessary personal or financial details from receipts and screenshots.
2. Why we use information
We use information to operate accounts and requested features; publish and moderate community content; deliver messages and notifications; assess purchase claims and rewards; respond to support and privacy requests; protect against abuse and fraud; diagnose faults; and meet legal obligations. Optional analytics, including Google Analytics, help us understand and improve website use.
We send newsletters when you subscribe. You can unsubscribe using the link in an email or by contacting us. Account, security, and other necessary service messages may still be sent. Cookie choices and newsletter subscriptions are separate.
3. Permission and legal grounds
Depending on the activity and applicable law, we rely on your consent, the steps necessary to provide a service you request or perform our agreement, legal obligations, and other grounds permitted by law. Where legitimate interests apply, these include service security, abuse prevention, and service improvement, balanced against your rights. We request consent where it is required and you may withdraw it without affecting processing already lawfully carried out.
4. Public content and private messages
Public reviews, posts, forum discussions, profile information, and other public submissions may be seen, indexed, quoted, or copied by others. A private profile setting does not necessarily make earlier public submissions private.
Direct messages are available to the participants and to authorised staff where needed for moderation, security, support, or legal purposes. They are stored by the service and are not end-to-end encrypted. Blocking limits supported interactions; it does not itself delete existing messages. Unread-message emails may contain participant names and counts rather than message text.
5. Service providers and sharing
We use providers for hosting and storage, authentication (Clerk), delivery of emails and notifications, optional analytics (Google Analytics), optional support chat (Tawk.to), and error reporting (Sentry-compatible GlitchTip and Bugsink services). Information they receive depends on the feature and your choices. See the Cookie Policy for optional website services.
When you request an AI feature, relevant text and context are sent to AI providers, including through OpenRouter. AI services may also help assess public firm-related discussions and updates for research. Our AI providers do not use the information we submit for model training. Avoid submitting confidential information or another person's personal data. Requested translation and external media features may also involve service providers.
We do not sell personal information or share it for third-party advertising. Providers may process information to deliver their services to us. Clicking a merchant or affiliate link takes you to a separate service whose privacy terms apply. That provider receives information from your visit and may use its own cookies. We may also disclose information where legally required, to address fraud or safety issues, or in a business transfer subject to applicable protections.
6. Hosting and security
Our main platform data is hosted in the European Union. Some external service providers may process information in other countries. Where applicable, we use the contractual and other safeguards required for international transfers.
We use measures such as encrypted connections and access controls to protect information. No online service can promise absolute security. Protect your account and contact us if you suspect unauthorised access.
7. Retention and deletion
We retain information for the purpose for which it was collected and for applicable legal, accounting, dispute, security, and fraud-prevention needs. Message history generally remains while the relevant accounts and conversations exist. We do not assign one retention period to every kind of information.
On account deletion, we remove or anonymise account information and handle associated content, media, and permitted retained records as described in the Account Deletion Policy. Public content already copied by others may remain outside our control. Contact us about personal information in content that should also be removed.
8. Your rights and choices
Use Manage Cookies for optional website tracking, account settings for supported profile and notification preferences, and your browser or device settings for permissions. Website cookie choices apply to that browser; app privacy choices are managed separately.
Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or a portable copy of your information, withdraw consent, and complain to the relevant data-protection authority. Email [email protected] to make a request. We may need proportionate identity checks and will respond within the applicable legal period. We explain any lawful exception that prevents us from completing a request.
9. Age and policy changes
The service is intended for people aged 18 or older. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
We update this page when our practices change and provide additional notice or seek fresh consent where required. Reading or continuing to use the website does not by itself grant consent for optional processing.
10. Contact
