These pillars are computed directly from database records. Same inputs always produce the same output.
Weighted combination of average star rating (50%), volume of reviews in the last 30 days (30%), and total all-time review count (20%). Higher average ratings and recent activity score the most.
Measures how well the firm engages with its community. Factors in overall response rate (50%), average response speed in hours (30%), and unreplied negative reviews (20%). Firms with zero reviews score 0 here.
Captures real-time community endorsement. Weighted toward recent momentum (70%) — likes in the last 7 days per day — with a log-scaled total likes component (30%).
Cross-references the firm's external Trustpilot presence. Scores on both the Trustpilot star rating (70%) and number of Trustpilot reviews (30%). Firms with no Trustpilot data score 0.
Month-on-month website traffic growth mapped to a 0–10 scale. Flat traffic ≈ 5. A 50% MoM growth = 10. A 50% decline = 0. Firms with no traffic data score 0.

These pillars require contextual reading of unstructured content. An AI model scores them at temperature 0 (deterministic) using only the evidence provided — forum posts, social content, announcements, and giveaway data from the last 30 days. The model cannot invent signals or access external information.

The decay penalty is subtracted after all pillars are summed. It penalises inactivity and negative signals. Multiple penalties stack — a firm with no recent reviews, slow likes, and unreplied negative reviews will see a significant reduction.
The raw score is always capped by the firm's verification tier before being written to the database. This prevents unverified firms from reaching top positions regardless of other signals.

Scores are recalculated every day. Each run processes up to 250 firms ordered by stalest-scored first, so every active firm is refreshed regularly.
No. The score is computed entirely from objective data signals — reviews, response rate, traffic, community activity — and AI analysis. Commercial relationships have no effect on the formula.
The formula starts at a base of 50. Without reviews, Trustpilot data, traffic, or community activity, all pillars contribute 0 and daily decay penalties apply, pulling the score below 50.
After each daily run, the AI writes a short explanation grounded only in the evidence it was given — forum posts, social content, announcements, and giveaway data. This is the text shown when you hover the info icon on a firm's page.
Trusted firms can reach 100. Verified firms are capped at 90. Unverified firms are capped at 60, regardless of other signals, to prevent unverified firms from appearing alongside fully trusted ones.
