Question 1

1. What is TakeProfitTrader and how does it work?

Accepted Answer

TakeProfitTrader is a futures proprietary trading firm that provides traders with the opportunity to access simulated funded trading accounts through an evaluation process. Traders first participate in an evaluation phase where they must achieve a profit target while following the firm’s risk management rules such as drawdown limits. Once the evaluation is successfully completed, the trader receives a PRO funded account that allows them to trade futures markets and withdraw a share of the profits generated from their trading performance.

Question 2

2. Is TakeProfitTrader legit or a scam?

Accepted Answer

TakeProfitTrader is widely considered a legitimate futures prop trading firm that operates with structured evaluation programs and funded trading accounts. The firm has gained popularity among futures traders due to its relatively simple evaluation model and fast payout structure. As with any prop firm, traders must strictly follow the platform’s trading rules and risk limits to maintain their accounts and avoid breaches.

Question 3

3. How much does it cost to join TakeProfitTrader?

Accepted Answer

The cost to join TakeProfitTrader depends on the evaluation account size selected by the trader. Each account tier has its own evaluation fee which grants access to the simulated trading environment. Larger account sizes typically require higher evaluation fees because they provide access to higher simulated capital. From time to time, the firm also offers promotional discounts or coupon codes that can reduce the cost of the evaluation.

Question 4

4. How does the TakeProfitTrader payout work?

Accepted Answer

After passing the evaluation and receiving a funded PRO account, traders become eligible to withdraw profits from their trading activity. The firm offers a competitive profit split where traders keep a large percentage of the profits generated from their account. Withdrawals can typically be requested after reaching the required profit buffer, and many traders report relatively fast processing times compared to other futures prop firms. This flexible payout model is one of the key reasons why TakeProfitTrader attracts active futures traders.

Question 5

5. Does TakeProfitTrader allow news trading?

Accepted Answer

Yes, TakeProfitTrader generally allows traders to trade during major economic news events. Traders are not restricted from opening or holding positions during high-impact news releases. However, traders must still remain within the firm’s risk management rules, especially the drawdown limits, as market volatility during news announcements can lead to rapid losses if trades are not managed properly.

Question 6

6. What trading platforms does TakeProfitTrader support?

Accepted Answer
