Question 1

What is Funding Pips, and how does it work?

Accepted Answer

Funding Pips is a prop trading firm that funds skilled traders with virtual capital to trade forex, crypto, indices, and more. You start by passing a challenge either one-step, two-step, or their exclusive FPX program and if you hit the targets while following the rules, they give you a funded account. You trade, they take the risk, and you keep a portion of the profits. Simple as that.

Question 2

What’s the profit split once I’m funded?

Accepted Answer

Once you pass the challenge and start trading on a funded account, you get an 80% profit split right from the start. And with their scaling plan, that can eventually go up to 100%. Pretty generous if you ask most traders.

Question 3

What trading platforms do they support?

Accepted Answer

Funding Pips supports two solid platforms: cTrader and MetaTrader 5 (MT5). You can choose whichever you’re more comfortable with. Both platforms are known for reliability, fast execution, and support for indicators, EAs, and manual trading.

Question 4

Can I use Expert Advisors (EAs)?

Accepted Answer

Yes, you can use EAs, but like with any prop firm, there is a line. Your EA should be custom, not a black-box strategy you bought off Telegram. As long as it doesn’t exploit the system (like latency arbitrage or tick scalping), you’re good. Just make sure you're actually in control of the strategy.

Question 5

What’s the daily and total drawdown allowed?

Accepted Answer

Here’s the breakdown for most accounts:
Daily drawdown: 4%
Total drawdown: 6%

That means if your account dips more than 4% in one day or more than 6% overall, you’ll fail the challenge. So risk management isn't optional it is your best friend here.

Question 6

What happens after I pass the challenge?

Accepted Answer

Once you hit the profit target and follow the rules (like minimum trading days and drawdown limits), you’ll be verified. After that, you receive your funded account and start trading real capital. The profits you generate from then on are eligible for withdrawal, starting as early as 7 days after your first trade.
