Question 1

What makes Bullwaves Prime different from other prop firms?

Accepted Answer

Bullwaves Prime is the first prop firm directly backed by a regulated broker This means traders get full MT5 access with real broker infrastructure, not a simulated trading environment. Most prop firms use third-party platforms or white-label setups Bullwaves Prime runs on the same execution systems as its regulated broker parent.

Question 2

Can I trade news with Bullwaves Prime?

Accepted Answer

Yes, but with restrictions. You can hold positions during scheduled news events, but you cannot open or close trades within 3 minutes before or after a news release. This is tighter than many firms that ban news trading entirely. If you trade news events regularly, check whether your strategy fits within that window.

Question 3

What happens if I don't trade for a while?

Accepted Answer

Funded accounts that sit inactive for 30 consecutive days get suspended. Logging in without placing trades doesn't count. You'd need to pass a new evaluation phase to get back in. The 30-day clock starts from your last trade, not your last login.

Question 4

How does the lot size consistency rule actually work?

Accepted Answer

At payout, every profitable trade must fall within a specific range based on your average lot size across all instruments. The formula: minimum is your average minus 70%, maximum is your average plus 100%. If you typically trade 1.0 lots, profitable trades below 0.3 lots or above 2.0 lots get excluded from payout calculation. Trades within 10 minutes on the same instrument in the same direction get counted as one trade for this check.

Question 5

Can I use an EA on a funded account?

Accepted Answer

No. Expert Advisors and automated scripts are allowed during the challenge phase only. Once you reach the funded stage, all automated systems are banned. Copy trading your own trades onto your Prime account is permitted, but identical orders from two different users trigger a violation—first offence gets a warning, second means account breach.

Question 6

How many payout requests can I make?

Accepted Answer

Every 15 calendar days, starting 15 days after your first trade. You also need 10 active trading days before any payout. The maximum gain eligible for profit split per payout period is 6% of your funded account's starting balance. So if you're on a $100,000 account, only the first $6,000 of profit in that period counts toward your split. Extra profit doesn't disappear it carries forward to the next cycle.
