News Trading Rules

OANDA Prop Trader does not allow traders to trade before and after 2 minutes of any high impact news. During this 4 minutes window, all opened trades will be closed automatically and the profit/loss will be realized in the account. Also Trading around this time window will be deemed as a soft breach.

Other Important Rules

Daily Drawdown Calculation

In OANDA Prop Trader Daily Drawdown type is provided as Equity Based Drawdown but the amount each day will remain static and will be recalculated at the end of the day. Traders must understand that this as the nature of the daily drawdown is equity based therefore the daily loss limit can shrink and grow based on the profit or loss made in the account.
