I want to share my experience with Equity Edge so other traders can do their own due diligence before committing their time and money.
After successfully trading my accounts and becoming eligible for a payout, I submitted a payout request.
Shortly afterward, I lost access to both my Instant account and another account that was up more than 6%.
I later received an email stating that my accounts had been terminated due to alleged group trading/account management activities.
The problem is that I have never participated in group trading, never managed anyone else’s account, and never allowed anyone to trade on my behalf.
As a result, my payout request was denied and my accounts were terminated.
The explanation given was that my device had allegedly been associated with another trader. However, the phone I use was purchased as a UK-used device, meaning I am not necessarily its first owner.
I have contacted the company and requested a review because I believe this decision was made in error.
I’m sharing this so that traders understand the risks involved. Even if you believe you’ve followed the rules, situations like this can happen and you may find yourself having to defend your account.
I hope Equity Edge takes another look at my case and reaches a fair conclusion.
