I am an intermediate trader, Day trading for 3 years. Almost unprofitable but recently I shifted to swing trade , thought to give it a try , and I literally never felt this peaceful before. Way less emotional chaos, almost negligible revenge and over trading. So, I wants to ask you guys is it really a thing like swing vs. intraday or is it just my belief Is it my sign to stick to it ? Please guys share your thoughts and upvote it if it is helpful.
I will figure out the genuine things that are : 1. the peace you felt is genuinely true. but why you felt that is because when you are day trading the speed of decisions you need to make is relatively higher than the speed of decisions needed in swing trading.
Yes the swing trading is really the peaceful as you are not going to take trade daily or multiple times daily all you have to analyse and watch it untill it comes over your level and you will enter and will hold it for days or months and not the other work to do and you can do anything in the mean time but in case of intraday like me i am only taking one trade a day and that is also not hectic at all as ii open my chart in one sesion and find trade if there is any then took if found and end my session but all i have ot do it do it daily in weekdays And this both have their pros and cons along with that and that is totally depend on individual only

Current Markets are supportive for Swings as constant spikes in Charts. This is what I feel

2. the shift is being liked by you because your identity of taking many random trades in intraday is getting changed and your less trades in swing trading is improving your prior identity
Lower time frame is important if you are intra fayTradeer. Because that give confirmation for your Trades

I also wants to ask that what should be done to increase the holding time of a trade. Like I am able to get 1:3-4 but i am fearful during trade and exit early.
I face the same situation. To increase your holding time. Once you enter a Trade, Just go for Long walk without Phone or Play Long Game or do work.
Honestly you should do both. I cant stay away from the intraday market and also want to catch huge daily timeframe moves especially when in extreme discount

Thanks for sharing this. You are absolutely right. Intraday Traders always Enter Trades within minutes. While Swing Trades just close Screens after entering a Trade as trade takes more than a Day to hit SL or TP. It will reduce Mental pressure on you

Day trading is good for me
There are cons for that, on prop firms you have to open a trade regularly and swing trading gives an entry after daysss, but if you're trading with personal funds it's all good you can swing trade and make the profits of the life time
What are the good time frames for swing trading
Try both one day trading one swing trading with time you understand what is made for you
