How do you know when your strategy still has a real edge and is not just random results?
You know your strategy has a real edge when: It stays profitable over a large sample size (not just a few trades) Results are consistent across different market conditions Risk-reward is positive long-term even with losing streaks Backtest and live results are similar (no big drop-off in live trading) Performance doesn’t rely on luck or a few big wins, but repeatable setups If it only works in short bursts or specific periods, it’s likely randomness, not edge.
Consistency, if the strategy gives consistent result over a month it's a good strategy, maybe it doesn't have a big risk reward ratio but if it gives 60%+ win rate then it's a great strategy you should stick with it
