I've been on my trading journey for a while now, and honestly, there are days when trading feels almost impossible.
I've put in the work.
I've read books on price action, studied volume analysis, gone through Anna Coulling's material, watched countless AMT videos, and spent hours trying to understand how markets really move. I'm not expecting a magic formula or a strategy that wins every trade. I know losses are part of the game.
But here's where I'm struggling.
The reality of live market conditions feels very different from what is presented in books and educational content.
When I'm studying charts after the fact, everything seems clear. The setups look obvious. The concepts make sense. But when the market is moving in real time, things become much more confusing. What appears to be a textbook setup often ends up hitting my stop loss almost immediately.
This has been happening a lot.
I'm currently trading futures and practicing through paper trading, so fortunately no real money is being lost. However, after showing up consistently for several days, taking trades based on the concepts I've been learning, and seeing more than 80-85% of them fail, it becomes difficult not to question everything.
Am I interpreting the market incorrectly?
Am I trying to force textbook concepts onto a market that doesn't behave as neatly as educational examples suggest?
Yes, almost every successful trader has gone through a phase where trading felt impossible. The learning curve is steep, losses can be frustrating, and progress often feels slow. The key is to stay focused on improving your process, managing risk, and learning from mistakes. Many traders quit just before things start to click, so persistence and patience are often the difference between failure and success. 📈💯🔥
No trade is also a trading decision.
Yeah definitely now trading is part of our life cause we have given more time in this then we give time to family friends or study
Yes definitely everybody thinks this but this is what makes difference with profitable and unprofitable trader
